And so, we view analytics as a pseudo roadmap. There are paths to be taken as we work through the project, guiding the dev team, possibly marketing, and sales – and always the stakeholder with whom you’re working – to accomplish the goal.
There are many different paths, so what is the most efficient? Which will get us to the goal with the least amount of effort and cost? Which will cause problems in places we may not see? And what happens when we hit a roadblock?
With certain types of problems, we can actually figure out the best ways to handle the situation and then use that when that problem type arises again.
Let’s use a run map as an example. We will look at two visuals from the app I use to explain this concept. There are two parts to it, the wandering to find a cool route part and the this is the most efficient route to get where we need to get part.
