Unleashing the Power of UX Analytics

Let’s go back again for a minute to that definition of UX. It is the set of expectations that a user comes to an application with, and the measurement of how closely we meet or exceed those expectations. One of the surest ways for us to gauge how we’re doing is to create a set of experience criteria that we’ll test against users. The set that was shown in Figure 1.1 in Chapter 1 is a start, and those are qualitative metrics. By using, for instance, the 1 to 5 scale, we’re testing the quality of our work by allowing people to do a digital task within a tool, series of tools, or a system.
So, the crux of UX analytics is our steps, practices, and reporting structures that either prove or disprove what we’re trying to accomplish – in other words, testing our hypothesis.
