Visualizing research results for maximum influence

Now, we’re going to get into more complex analytics visualizations and walk through understanding and using these mechanisms. While it is true that there are different learning styles, we are all visual creatures. We notice when 1 widget out of 100 is a different color or size. We notice when we walk into a room how people are grouped, and who doesn’t quite fit the mood.

Therefore, we need to give visual representations of our findings so that decision-makers can come to the best conclusions faster and with greater certainty. If we’re counting how many people use an application each day, separated by the times of day when they’re most active, we can use a bar chart. This would then be an example of quantitative metrics:
