This chapter on surveys gave you both a broad perspective and a finer look at the intricacies of using this type of UX analytics to prove or disprove the direction set by the stakeholder. You learned that it can be used to first establish a direction for the user interviews or to further prove the market sentiment to strengthen the position you’ve already found in your user interviews.
You saw a bit about different ways to use survey tools to allow people to answer the questions in a logical fashion. When looking for answers along a sliding scale, you can use Likert scales, which make it very easy for respondents to create a visual picture in their head, and give you the best answer quickly.
