An alternative to using a USB cable to transfer a build to your Android device is to publish the build APK file on a website, and then install it onto your device via a mobile web browser. We have provided some steps for downloading Android APK builds using a web browser app.
Only download and install APK files you have created yourself or from sources you trust!
On non-Samsung devices, do the following:
- Go to your phone's Settings.
- Go to Security & Privacy | More Settings.
- Tap on Install Apps from External Sources.
- Select the browser (for example, Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK files from.
- Toggle Allow app installs on.
On Samsung devices, do the following:
- Go to your phone's Settings.
- Go to Biometrics and Security | Install Unknown Apps.
- Select the browser (for example, Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK files from.
- Toggle Allow App Installs / Allow from this source on.
