Exploring Adobe Substance 3D Stager models

There are different types of models inside Stager. Let us explore them all and see how they differ from each other and how to create them:

  1. Launch Adobe Substance 3D Stager and create a new empty file.
  2. Go to the ASSETS panel.
  3. Make sure you are in the Starter assets tab of the ASSETS panel.
  4. Select the Models asset type, as shown in Figure 13.1:

You will notice that there are two types of Assets in Stager – Shapes and Models.

  1. To create a model, you must drag it into the viewport. However, it will not be in the center. Therefore, you have to move it to the center using your mouse with the help of the theGizmo or adjust the necessary parameters in the PROPERTIES panel, as shown in Figure 13.2:
