Sharing AWS DNS services between accounts makes it easier to manage domain names and DNS settings in one place. This helps avoid repeating the same setup, saves money, and improves security by keeping control of DNS settings in a single location.
Imagine for a moment that as Trailcats grew into a global company, it organized its operations by geographical regions (geos), with each geo responsible for budgeting and managing its own expenses. Under this model, each geo may want to have its own AWS accounts for billing purposes. Yet at the same time, the infrastructure needs to operate as a cohesive whole across those accounts.
