Summary

In this chapter, you have covered the details of what an AWS Direct Connect private circuit is, how to create one, and all the different types of DX VIFs that can be utilized. The constructs that can terminate DX in the cloud were also discussed, including VGWs, TGW, and DX gateways. BGP is a large part of hybrid cloud connectivity, and so you covered all of the ways that BGP can be used with DX and the best practices based on the VIF type. Finally, you discussed IPv6 and Direct Connect. AWS adds more and more IPv6 functionality every day to its offerings.
