The last section of this chapter focuses on how to use traffic engineering to improve the resiliency and coverage of redundant connections. Different third-party connectivity services come with different options, and you will cover each of them in this section. This is not an exhaustive list of all possible options, as by blending multiple tools, there are many ways to accomplish the goal; however, the most common options should be covered in the following subsections.
PrivateLink doesn’t exchange routes with the remote end, so the only real route optimization is making sure that AZ affinity is kept with subnet route tables.
