Paradigm shifts, which come in storms of new technologies, maim big companies and create new stars. The iPhone marginalized both Eastman Kodak and Nokia. Both companies were dominant at one point; Kodak even invented the digital camera, but new technology created new stars and took away the relevance these once had.
The same will happen in the Spatial Computing decade, which is just beginning. The storm will be violent and swift but to understand why this is so, we need to go back to that earlier time.
In this vein, Nag Murty and his team at Electric Sheep Robotics are disrupting the worlds of landscaping and lawn care.
His company has built two robots, so far, with more on the way, that take care of various landscaping jobs. It bought several landscaping companies to get the data, and understand the customers, before automating them with robots.
