Edit without Tears with Final Cut Pro

To show video scopes in Final Cut Pro X, go to View | Show in Viewer | Video Scopes, or go to the smaller View menu above the viewer and select Video Scopes. The video scopes will now be displayed in the viewer.
To change the video scope, click the small square graph icon, then select Waveform, Vectorscope, or Histogram.

To select a combination of scopes, click on View.

The Waveformmonitor describes an image by its brightness, not its content.
It shows the relative levels of luma or chroma by displaying peaks and troughs that depict the brightness and darkness of an image, respectively. Peaks represent the brighter areas; troughs represent the darker regions.
When you open the Waveformmonitor, it will display RGB Parade by default. I suggest you change...
