The main reason that developers provide free plug-ins is to promote their paid versions. However, some developers only offer free plug-ins. I have found that some of the free plug-ins are surprisingly good.
In this section, I will show you packages from two developers, one who only supplies free versions and another who is promoting his paid versions with an excellent package of simple power tools. The next section covers what I refer to as one of the gem categories of the Final Cut Pro plug-ins, and it’s free.
