Using Color Scopes for Advanced Color Correction

This chapter is a direct follow-on from the last one, where color theory was explained, along with methods for taking color grading and correction to the next level so you are not just trusting your eyes.

In this chapter, you will learn how to read the settings supplied with color scopes. You will see how scopes provide a precise way of viewing color mixes and corrections as you make them. Scopes are displayed as either graphs or waveforms so that you are not just relying on your eyes to adjust color.

You will learn how scopes allow you to visualize the conventional process of changing exposure first, then adjusting the saturation with specific scopes, and finally, correcting color with scopes such as RGB Parade.
