On the whole, plug-ins fall into two categories: those that correct issues with your clips and those that add benefits to your clips. I will show you plug-ins for color and audio correction issues as well as for video noise and grain. I will also show you some for the stabilization of shaky footage and for extracting people from backgrounds without the need for a green screen.

First, I will explain CoreMelt’s Lock & Load Stabilize plug-in, which is a fast stabilizer for shaky video footage that has the major advantage of being able to stabilize multicam footage, something the built-in Final Cut Pro stabilizer can’t do without a workaround.

Lock & Load Stabilize Only is significantly faster than the built-in stabilizer and has much more control. The effect appears in the Effects sidebar under the C2 Lock & Load category.
