To get the most out of this book

The book assumes a working knowledge of your operating systems and of the common tools used by most Learning and Development professionals. With Adobe Learning Manager being a cloud-based service, a modern web browser is all you need to follow along with the exercises included in this book.

You can use the free 30-day trial of Adobe Learning Manager to perform the exercises, and Chapter 1 walks you through the process of activating your trial account. Activating your free trial requires that you have an Adobe ID. If you do not already have an Adobe ID, you can create one for free at https://account.adobe.com/.

Finally, you will need to create an email address for each of the users you will create in your trial account. You can use any free email service, such as Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo Mail. Detailed information about this process will be provided in the corresponding chapter.
