Publishing a Virtual Reality project

Virtual Reality projects in Captivate have the same publishing options and process as those available for Responsive Projects. This is because VR projects and Responsive Projects can only be published in HTML5.

Let's check this out using the following steps:

  1. Open the Chapter15/VR_Project.cptx project. This is the Virtual Reality project you created in Chapter 11, Creating Virtual Reality Projects.
  2. Click the Publish | Publish for Virtual Reality Devices icon in the Toolbar to open the Publish dialog.

At the top of the Publish dialog, note that, similar to Responsive projects, the Publish as option is set to HTML5, without any options to turn it off or choose another publishing format.

  1. If needed, change the Project Title to VR Project.
  2. Use the folder icon to choose the Chapter15/publish folder from your exercise as the publish Location.
