Building the winners’ area

In this recipe, we will be building the winners’ area at the end of the obby. The winners’ room is what is referred to as the “hook” of the game. It offers rewards for players who played through until the end, meaning more players will stay to the end if there is some sort of reward.

How to do it…

To begin, we will build a checker pattern finish line on a platform. Next, we will create a large hexagonal floor using square and wedge parts, then we will decorate it with a neon border. We will then copy and paste the lobby arch we made earlier, and scale it to fit over the checkerboard pattern to indicate the finish. Following that, we will use the 3Dtext Generator plugin to create winners’ text and fit it onto the front of the arch. Finally, we will place gear givers, which are provided in the build kit of the Chapter 5 folder. To begin, follow these steps:
