Creating stage 4 – Spinning blades

In this recipe, we will be working with the CylindricalConstraint object to build the fourth obstacle stage. The CylindricalConstraint object will allow us to rotate a part, creating a spinning motion at our desired speed. This mechanism will allow us to build a unique stage without the need for scripts.

How to do it…

To start, we will create a simple stage out of square and cylinder parts. We will then place a small square part and attach a CylindricalConstraint object to it. Next, we will attach blades to the motor and add them to an arm that we created attached to the level path. Finally, we will create a gap so that the spinning blade does not get stuck. To begin your next obby, follow these steps:

  1. Copy and paste the obby template into Workspace.
  2. Resize the obby path part to be 5 studs wide.
  3. Using a square part, create an arm attaching from the obby path part out of 5 studs.
