Creating stage 3 – Lava

In the following recipe, we will be creating the third stage of our course, which contains lava bricks. These lava bricks will respawn the player if they touch them. By placing these bricks through this level, it will make for a fun and challenging level.

How to do it…

To begin this recipe, we will start by creating a path leading from the start platform all the way to the end platform. Next, we will create a lava brick by changing the part’s Material property to Neon and inserting a script into the part. We will then place them throughout the course, creating a maze. To start, follow these steps:

  1. Copy and paste the obby template into Workspace.
  2. Resize the obby path part to 3 studs long, and place it past and flush with the start part.
  3. Duplicate this new obby path part, and place it before and flush with the finishing platform.
  4. Insert a square part that is 4, 0.5, 4 studs large.
