Microsoft Entra organizations can leverage cross-tenant access settings to effectively manage collaboration activity with other Microsoft Entra organizations and Microsoft Azure clouds via B2B collaboration and B2B direct connect. These cross-tenant access settings provide control over interactions with external Microsoft cloud-based entities. They are used to manage inbound access (dictating how others collaborate with you) and outbound access (determining how your users engage with external Microsoft Entra organizations).
Cross-tenant access settings can be used to manage features such as allowing you to trust multi-factor authentication (MFA) and device claims from other tenants. This essentially means that if a user meets the Conditional Access requirements in another tenant (such as MFA token or hybrid device join compliance), you can accept that as proof of MFA to access resources in your tenant.
