Access packages govern the lifecycle of access to resources for both internal and external users. Disused accounts can be a security risk for an organization since the account may have weak or reused passwords or could potentially be exploited without the original owner being aware. Consequently, managing the lifecycle of those external users is important.
The Identity Governance platform includes an option to manage external users. Located on the Identity Governance | Settings page, you can use it to control what happens to guest users who had accounts provisioned through an access package once their assignments are removed, as shown in Figure 14.23:
