In Chapter 14, Planning and Implementing Entitlement Management, we covered the process of implementing the entitlement management portion of the Microsoft Identity Governance product. Entitlement management implements a lifecycle component responsible for auditing, maintaining, and updating access grants through a process called access reviews.
So far, we’ve addressed configuring catalogs and resources to cover the lifecycle of accessing resources. A critical part of entitlement management and access governance is ensuring that identities are subject to the same security controls as the resources through the access review process. Access reviews can also stand independently, used to govern identity processes outside the entitlement management system.
