Designing the Adobe InDesign Way

Sometimes, it can be useful to be able to customize strokes in your document to create a particular look and feel. You might want to change the border around a frame to create a specific effect or maybe adjust the stroke on a line to turn it into an arrow that points at something.
In this recipe, we will look at the options for customizing the stroke, putting a dashed line around a frame, and applying an arrowhead effect to a line.
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. You should be comfortable creating new color swatches, as shown in the Creating new color swatches recipe, as well as applying colors, as shown in the Applying colors within your document recipe, both of which can be found in this chapter.
To customize strokes on document items, just follow these steps:
Change the font size
Change margin width
Change background colour
