Guides are a great way to place items in precise positions on your page, ensuring that you maintain a consistent look and feel throughout your document, and if stipulated, can fully comply with your brand guidelines.
In this recipe, we will look at how to manually apply ruler guides to pages or spreads and adjust them, delete guides that are no longer needed, apply multiple guides at preset distances, enable snapping to guides and adjust the settings for this, and even add column guides on page setup.
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and open a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe.
To apply, delete, and snap to guides in InDesign, follow these steps:
Change the font size
Change margin width
Change background colour
