Developing and communicating a plan is traditionally done as a drawing--think about floor plans, blueprints, or engineering drawings. The same approach is also used for designing user interfaces, and in a broader sense, digital experiences.
Wireframes are used to define user interface requirements for digital solutions. They represent the UI skeleton of a single view or a single page.
Wireflows don't need to cover every single view or screen from a digital solution. We aim to showcase key interactions and templates, from which the remainder of the solution's UI skeleton can be extrapolated. So we usually start with one or a few wireframes and then create more only when needed.
