Time for action – configuring the insurance cost

Let's configure the insurance cost calculation for our flower shop:

Navigate to the Around the Corner community and open the Configuration mode of the Shopping portlet.
Click on the Insurance Calculation tab and then enter the values as shown in the following screenshot. After setting the values, click on the Save button.

What just happened?

We just configured the insurance cost calculation for our online shop. We configured the Percentage Amount formula for calculating the insurance cost. Liferay provides five different bands for providing insurance cost similar to shipping cost calculation. We configured percentage values for all five bands. Let's take an example where the customer bought flower bouquets costing $250. As per our configuration system will calculate insurance cost based on percentage mentioned in fifth band. So in this case insurance cost will be $10 ($250 * 0.04).
