Displaying web content

Liferay Portal has a web content display portlet for showing the static content that we created in the last section. The web content display portlet is a simple portlet. You add this portlet onto a page and specify through configuration the content to show in this portlet. During runtime this portlet will go to the database and fetch the content and render it.

We will add this web content display portlet to the public and private pages of the communities and organizations created at the neighborhood site.

Let us go to the http://neiborhood.cignex.com/web/guest/home page, which is the Welcome page of the CIGNEX Neighborhood community. This community has four public pages:

Registration
House on Sale
Daily Tips

We will populate each of these pages with static web content that we have created with the web content portlet.
