Grooming and styling

In this section, we will focus on grooming and styling your character's hair. It is good practice to only start the grooming process once you are happy with the basic hair parameters. This is because once you start the grooming and styling processes, some of the particle parameters will be locked, and you won't be able to make any changes to them until you delete your grooming edits.

Grooming and styling the character's hair can be a lot of fun, so get ready to experiment and be creative to see what interesting styles you can create.

Let's get started! Perform the following steps:

  1. Click on your character in the 3D Viewport to select it.
  2. We need to switch to the Particle Edit mode to edit or style the hair particles. There are a few ways you can do this:
    • Click on the drop-down menu from the upper-left corner of the 3D Viewport and select Particle Edit from the list.
