Overview of this book

IBM Quantum Lab is a platform that enables developers to learn the basics of quantum computing by allowing them to run experiments on a quantum computing simulator and on several real quantum computers. Updated with new examples and changes to the platform, this edition begins with an introduction to the IBM Quantum dashboard and Quantum Information Science Kit (Qiskit) SDK. Exploring the IBM Quantum Tools

Quantum computing has been growing in popularity over the past few years, most recently since IBM released the first commercially available quantum computer on the cloud back in May 2016, back then referred to as the IBM Quantum Experience, now rebranded as the IBM Quantum Platform (IQP). This release was the first of its kind, hosted on the cloud and providing the world with the opportunity to experiment with quantum devices for free. The platform includes a user interface (UI) that allows anyone to run experiments on a real quantum computer.
