In this subsection, we explore how identifying constraints within processes and employing principles such as the theory of constraints, Lean flow, and metrics can systematically address these challenges, leading to a more efficient and effective flow of work and value creation. Addressing these challenges helps us achieve more with fewer resources, maintain high-quality standards, deliver enhanced customer value, foster employee satisfaction, and accelerate deliveries.
As we explore the process of streamlining value streams, we must examine two distinct levels of flow: the macro level, encompassing the organization’s collective workflow, and the micro level, focusing on individual employees’ personal work experiences.
