Comparing VSM methodology and the VSM implementation roadmap

At first glance, the E9 VSM methodology and the VSMC’s implementation roadmap appear to have similar processes, goals, and objectives. They both have nine steps, and some have similar names. But their areas of focus differ. Figure 5.8 and Figure 5.9 compares the two and illustrates the critical differences we will explore in this section:

The VSM methodology has a history of over twenty years, and in our E9 VSM model, comprises a structured set of nine steps, as shown in Figure 5.8:
