In Chapter 2, Exploring Platform-Specific Considerations, we had a look at the variety of platforms that are tied to each document type in Animate. We'll now explore the various publish settings for these document types as well. The settings available for each document type vary quite a bit, with the ActionScript-based documents having the most settings due to their age and the beta documents having the least for the same reason.
We'll now look at the various native document types within Animate and their particular associated settings when publishing your content.
By default, ActionScript 3.0 documents will publish both a .swf
file and an .html
file to act as a container document. Of course, due to Flash Player being completely banned from web browsers, this isn't all that useful!
