Resources and activities

Moodle stores resources and manages activities in courses:

  • Resources are learning elements where the learner is passive; for instance, a PDF document can be read, a URL can be navigated to, a podcast can be listened to, or a video can be watched.
  • Activities are learning elements where the learner is active and more engaged; for example, posting to a discussion forum, responding to a feedback questionnaire, attending a face-to-face appointment, collaborating with others in the authoring of an FAQ, or answering questions in a SCORM-based quiz.
