Shape tools

Basic shapes are undoubtedly some of the most important objects in the history of art and design. Many a masterpiece began as a collection of simple shapes. Affinity Designer has a long list of basic and customizable Shape Tools to get you started in your projects. The following screenshots show the Shape Tools currently available, with examples of their adjustable shape options. The blue shape is the default, while the gray shapes are the configurable options available. I encourage you to experiment with each of these Shape Tools to get familiar with the possibilities each has to offer. The shape tools will remain adjustable until you convert them to curves. The red dots are the edit handles:
