Inkscape 0.48 Illustrator's Cookbook

We have all enjoyed coloring books when we were younger and they still seem to be popular in the contemporary digital age. These books don't lose their appeal even when fully colored. The effect created by the human hand of a child holding a crayon, with its enthusiasm and ingenuity, gives the drawing an aura of innocence, warmth, and vigor.
An artist can imbue his or her drawing with similar qualities by replicating this effect, as we will do in this recipe. Our chosen tool will be the Paint Bucket, with which we will bring color into various regions in our drawing, using several old and new tricks.
Using Paint Bucket on an empty Canvas won't work because there aren't any closed regions to fill; we have to have objects that define closed or nearly closed regions to spill the paint from the bucket. Open the ColoringBookPaintBucket.svg
