We've now covered three different methods to use shared data, two of which included the ability to share our work with others. Now we will need to cover how the data gets updated or refreshed. Making sure your data is up to date can be critical in making decisions. If the gas gauge in your car shows the amount of gas you had when you first got in the car, taking long road trips might result in a lot of walking to gas stations.
It's important to understand that a Dataset in Power BI can contain connections to multiple sources. This is particularly true of data published from Power BI. We can create data connections to GP and our CRM. Two different data sources make up one dataset when published to the Power BI service.
There are four types of refresh in Power BI--Package, Model/data, Tile, and Visual container. It is important to understand the difference of each of these refresh types. Let's review each now.
