In this chapter, we learned about the modern upgrade process. We discussed the most optimal and efficient ways of upgrading a process that involved automating the processes, analyzing the time and effort, and understanding the core concept behind the upgrade project. We also tried to understand the difference between the upgrade process if carried out on different versions and how that might affect the project duration. We discussed the problems that might arise while working on a project and how to tackle them with the standard approach.

In the next chapter, we will discuss the interfacing possibilities for the Dynamics NAV system with other applications. This chapter will provide a technical depth of the process, keeping the functional aspect at the edge, allowing the consultants understand the why and how factors of the integration. The chapter is intended for techno-functional consultants, developers, and administrators.
