Chapter 8: Creating Dashboards, Pulses, and Collections

So far, we've learned how to create questions and choose the right visualization for them. We've also amassed a solid amount of saved questions. Each question on its own explains something of interest about our business, such as how many orders we have fulfilled, how many users are using our product, or how many reviews each menu item has received. While these are all valuable on their own, they can be even more valuable when presented in one holistic view. For this use case, Metabase offers the ability for users to create dashboards, which are curated groupings of interactive questions arranged on a single screen.

Dashboards are fantastic when it comes to displaying a lot of valuable information, and we'll be learning how to make them in this chapter. Additionally, we'll learn how to make pulses. Pulses are short, high-level reports that can be sent out via email or Slack on a scheduled basis.
