Views, tables, and reports generally present only a small subset of all the data fields available in a project. In this discussion, we will understand the structure of these hundreds of predefined data fields available in Project.
It is possible to program custom-built tools using Microsoft Office's scripting languages and these data fields. Without further ado, let's begin with a classification of the available fields.
We will not repeat the most common data fields here and will only focus on some of the other useful fields. This is not a complete listing, but only a small and useful subset, to be used as a ready reference:

Some fields are Project Professional-specific. Also, there are data fields specifically related to the enterprise features of Project, which we will not be covering in this appendix.
