Now that we've mastered the basics of managing Skype for Business's global and user settings, we can finally dig into the topic that everyone's most excited about—using Skype for Business as a voice telephone service. 

Like most VoIP services, Skype for Business offers the capability to use soft-phones (the Skype for Business client), headsets that connect to the computer, and dedicated handsets which can work independently of your PC and even stay on a call while you reboot. Accounts include features you'd expect, such as call forwarding, conference calls, and voicemail with email notification and transcription service. All of these features make Skype for Business well suited to replace other business-class cloud- and hardware-based VoIP phone services.
