Introduction

Browser and device compatibility is an important issue when it comes to the execution of programs. Also, the deployment of applications and games on compatible devices is another concern. This chapter gives an overview of browser compatibility with respect to HTML5 Canvas and CSS (Cascaded Style Sheet). It also covers a game recipe, which can be deployed on mobiles.

CSS is a language that helps HTML/XML to present a document with style. Thus, the role of CSS is to apply styles. Throughout the chapters, I had focused on HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript. This chapter, however, introduces CSS through some crisp recipes. I will be using only external CSS. I believe that you already know the other two types (internal and inline).
