Overview of this book

Then you will learn how to create and manage reports, to use Schedule Report, and create advanced report configurations. The next section talks about dashboards and will enable you to understand and compare various types of dashboard component and how you can benefit the most from each of them. Then we move on to advanced topics and explain tips and tricks related to reports and dashboards, including reporting snapshots, report parameters, and collaboration. Finally, we will discuss how to access dashboards and reports from the Salesforce1 mobile app.

Working with reports in the Salesforce1 app

There are a few options to access reports in the Salesforce1 mobile app. Let us discuss them in detail.

Report menu items

If you do not see the Reports menu in the Salesforce 1 app menu, make sure to add it--navigate to Setup | Apps | Mobile Apps | Salesforce1 Navigation, select Reports, and add the selected items. This is shown in the following screenshot:

When you open a report in the Salesforce1 mobile app, the report format will be ignored. Summary and Matrix format reports will be presented just as columns, similar to Tabular reports. If the report has a chart added, it will not be visible when the report opens in Salesforce1.
