Mobile Content Management overview


Users are requesting the ability to access more corporate information from their mobile devices. Mobile Content Management (MCM) is another piece of EMM that provides the ability to access more of the information that is expected to be available on our end users' mobile devices. Providing access to internal content such as file shares and SharePoint allows for a more collaborative and productive user experience. Providing access to these internal content repositories means to provide the ability to access data from anywhere and at any time. This is a shift in the way we've traditionally accessed content from PC and/or laptop devices.

As we start looking at providing MCM to the end users, we also have to take into consideration that MCM is part of a larger trend that has become available in the industry.
