There is a need to record and manage the defects on the project prior to paying a contractor his final payment. At the end of a project or a phase of the project, there is a walk-through to review anything that needs fixing or is missing. Placing this information in PCM allows for assignment of Ball In Court and Required Finish date. With these pieces of information attached to each item that needs attention, reporting on the progress of the Punch List is very simple. The Punch List Items can also be monitored and displayed on the Control Center with the use of Alerts and Actions.
The Punch List Register lists all the items that need attention prior to final payment. These lists can be for your organization to accomplish or for your contractors to accomplish.
