The installation and configuration process for the View Security Server requires some amount of preparation. This section will outline what is required prior to beginning the installation.
There are a number of prerequisites that should be addressed prior to installing a View Security Server:
At least one configured View Connection Server with a license key installed
A dedicated Windows 2008 R2 server to host the View Security Server role
A static IP address for the Security Server host
The second network controller and static IP address (optional), so that the host server can be configured with dedicated connections for both public facing (external) and private (internal) networks
The Security Server host should be able to resolve the FQDN of the Security Server it will pair with, either using DNS or the local host's file
A valid View Connection Server pairing password
Firewall access between the View Security Server and...
