It is possible to configure a virtual machine to override the host monitoring and VM monitoring settings. The settings are overridden by creating VM overrides.
The settings that can be overridden are as follows:
VM restart priority
Host isolation response
VM monitoring and monitoring sensitivity
The following procedure explains how to configure VM(s) to override HA cluster settings:
From the vCenter's Home inventory, navigate to the Hosts and Clusters view.
Select the cluster and navigate to Manage | Settings | VM Overrides.
On the VM Overrides page, click on the Add button to bring up the Add VM Overrides window.
In the Add VM Overrides window, click on the green + icon to bring up the Select a VM window.
In the Select a VM window, select a virtual machine and click on OK.
With the VM now added to the Add VM Overrides window, modify the settings for the selected VM, and click on OK.
