Final Cut Pro X Cookbook

It's easy to tack on a transition, but many of them have multiple parameters that can only be tweaked in certain places such as the Inspector, on-screen controls in the Viewer, or even in the timeline itself.
Simply create a timeline with two clips in it that you can add a transition to.
1. Open your Transitions browser and make sure All is highlighted in the categories box.
2. In the search box below, type in black hole
, as shown in the following screenshot:
3. Drag the black hole transition between the two clips in your timeline. If you get a message that says There is not enough extra media beyond clip edges to create the transition..., click on Create Transition, as shown in the following screenshot:
4. Play the area around the transition. This transition sucks in the first clip into a vortex and reveals the second clip underneath.
5. Click on the transition itself in the timeline...

Change background colour
