Sometimes one image on the screen just isn't enough. Whether it's for a music video, multiple angle view, or a video where you just need to cram in more visual information in a short amount of time, it's easy to stack clips in FCPX and play them all back simultaneously on the screen wherever you want, at any size. In this exercise, we'll create a video wall with four, evenly spaced clips, as follows:
If you haven't read the Using the Transform tool recipe, now would be a good time to do so. Also, this exercise assumes you are using HD video that is 1920 x 1080. If not, some of the Position numbers we'll be manipulating will not work exactly. Read the There's More... section at the end of this recipe to figure out the math and numbers you'll need if you aren't using full HD video.
