Time for action—creating a dropout with the accompanying pitch fall

We are going to create a dropout, and add a pitch fall to the bass instrument that continues playing through the space left by the main beat. The dropout will be happening before bar 49. This song has been saved as Poor_Creature_v2_transitions:

  1. Find bar 49.
  2. Create a looped area between bar 44 and 53, as shown in the following screenshot. This will allow us to hear the pad play through as normal:

  3. Pull back the right side of the Main Beat element so that it stops at bar 48:
  4. Now that we have the space, it's time to add a little pitch fall to our bassline! Un-mute the bassline that is doubling the bass line we call AM Radio Bass. It is just above the AM Radio Bass element.
  5. Open the Piano Roll editor for this element, and erase all of the notes except the last one:

  6. Now we need to add a pitch fall. To add note detuning, you need to select Detuning Mode at the top of the screen. It looks like this:
