Summary

We are big believers that everything (except Payroll) should post in detail to the General Ledger. The more detail that is in the GL, the more information you can get out of it. The General Ledger is the easiest module from which you can obtain data, so if the details are there, you have the power to get it out.

In short, enter your work every day. Post your work every day, obtain information from your system every day, and you will have Business Intelligence!

In the next chapter, we’ll review the Bank Reconciliation module. Monitoring cash is essential for every business.
